Functions of the Spoiler
Enhanced Stability: At high speeds, especially for motorcyclists, air resistance and airflow significantly affect helmet stability. A suitable spoiler reduces wind interference on the helmet by altering airflow direction and increasing downforce, making the helmet more stable, minimizing head  (head  can be translated as "head movement" or "head wobble"), and allowing riders to focus more on driving. For example, spoilers tested by Arai in collaboration with MotoGP rider Taka Nakagami have significantly reduced head movement during high-speed rides.

Aesthetic Improvement: Modifying the spoiler can make the helmet's appearance more personalized and stylish, catering to different riders' preferences for overall vehicle styling and personal expression. There are various spoilers available on the market with different designs, colors, and patterns, such as those featuring cranes, Haga kirin (Japanese mythical creature), pentagrams, or Eastern dragons, which add unique characteristics to the helmet.
